The FCC anticipates existing ACP funding will run out in late April 2024. Customers who are enrolled in the ACP should continue to receive their internet service discount through the end of April 2024. This date is an estimate and may change, depending on the actions and timeline of Congress.

What to Know About Lifeline and ACP Internet Discounts for Veterans

Affordable Connectivity Program for veterans
The Affordable Connectivity Program provides up to $30 per month toward a qualifying household’s internet bills and up to $75 per month for households on tribal lands. The ACP also offers a one-time discount of up to $100 on qualifying laptops, desktops, or tablets.
Although eligibility may change, the program is meant to be a long-term supplement that reliably contributes to internet bills.
Lifeline Program for veterans
The Lifeline Program connects qualifying veterans to telephone service discounts just as the ACP connects qualifying veterans to monthly internet discounts. Veterans and other qualifiers can receive up to a $9.25 discount per month through the Lifeline Program.
Even better, veterans who are already enrolled in the lifeline program qualify for ACP!
Other programs may be available based on a veteran’s unique needs. For example, there may be steeply discounted or free internet services for disabled veterans that are designed to connect them to the healthcare and telehealth programs they need.
