First consider the benefits of fast internet speeds
Most people start with the assumption that lower internet speeds = lower internet bills. However, this assumption isn’t always true, and saving on internet costs over the long term isn’t as simple.
For example, smart thermostats can monitor your usage habits and then lower or raise themselves for peak efficiency. There are also monitors for key infrastructure like your home HVAC system that record usage and schedule maintenance appointments to help prevent costly breakdowns. Fast internet speeds can benefit you directly as well since they can make reliably working from home possible which means you can save time and money by not commuting.
Take the Quantum Fiber speed need test
Speaking of speed, to check how much you need to take the Quantum Fiber speed need quiz. Our speed need quiz estimates how much speed you need based on measures like your typical data usage, how many devices you use, and how many people use your network. Don’t forget that extra speed is a great way to prepare for unexpected speed needs like hosting guests or adding smart devices that let you experience the features of a smart home. Activities like 4K streaming and V.R. videogames also require more data than regular streaming or online gaming, so if you or someone on your network is interested in similar activities then extra data will come in handy!
